"Chris Sopko was a valuable and loyal employee of Struers Incorporated for nearly 17 years. Starting as a sales person he quickly rose to the Marketing Director position and contributed greatly to the success of Struers in the United States. Among his many accomplishments was the development and outstanding utilization of a unified CRM tool, effective database marketing, our first internet website, and a variety of other innovative marketing tools.
After slightly less than 10 years he was promoted to the position of President with full P&L responsibilities for the United States and Canada. During his tenure he was instrumental in guiding the business to record results in the sale of Struers products while keeping expenses low and gross margins high.
Additionally, his organization was able to take the Canadian market from one of our more successful dealers and grow the business by nearly 130% within three years.
During his tenure with Struers Chris truly developed into a highly respected international business person who understood how to deal with many different cultures and showed great abilities to handle himself on a global basis.
Unfortunately, he recently left our organization and his management skills will be missed.
